
Newham Building Schools for the Future (BSF) is a £300 million plus programme being delivered through a Local Education Partnership (LEP) known as Newham Transformation Partnership Limited (NTP). The partners are NLP, LBN and BSF.
Newham Learning Partnership (NLP) is a joint venture between Laing O'Rourke and RM plc.
The Newham programme represents a substantial capital investment in the borough and it involves the rebuilding or refurbishment of the entire secondary school estate in Newham, plus replacement of part of the Borough's Special Needs provision.

Newham's Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme reached financial close for the first phase of the programme in January 2009. Design and development work is now progressing on the first wave of schools.
NTP has been selected to deliver a complete transformation of educational facilities throughout the borough. NTP is managing the finance, design and construction of the new and remodelled Community and Special Schools. Some of these are being financed through the Private Finance Initiative (PFI). In these cases special companies are set up to maintain and operate aspects of the school buildings for 25 years.
Alongside the build programme the LEP is delivering an integrated ICT service across the schools.
