TV star surprises London apprentices

Tommy Walsh(Jul 2010) TV star Tommy Walsh was a surprise visitor to a number of East London students, when he dropped in on their work experience programme in Newham recently.

Construction Ambassador Tommy spent several hours with the boys who were on site in the London Borough getting hands on industry experience.  They learnt not only about technical and practical skills such as timber framing, stud walling, plastering, suspended ceiling, carpentry and painting, but also about Health & Safety awareness and the variety of career paths open to them.
